(yep, he looks like a horse)
"Wow, Hi Starhopper!" Comet was dancing back and forth on his hoooves like a colt in his excitement. It wasn't that they never saw strange looking ponies in Dream Valley - quite the opposite actually, the place seemed to attract stranger like a magnet - but Comet thought every colorful pony looked extremely exotic compared to his boring brown and white.
"You are beautiful! I love your symbol, and your coat, and your hair... wow, where are you from? Are there more of you? Can I go there!?" The quick succession of the questions would leave anyone's head spinning... except maybe Karma's because she was used to it.

*she didn't know quite what to say. the only horses she had ever seen were being ridden by humans and elves and such. they didn't talk, but this did. interesting. the questions were confusing, and she didn't know exactly how to answer them... so she did the best she could.*
"thank you," she started as he told her she was beautiful, but he went on with the questions. she waited until he was done, then said, "i just recently returned here from a world far away. i can tell you more, but for now, starshine is showing me to a room to stay in."
*she smiled at him, not wanting to seem rude, but she wanted to rest a little from her trip. winking that far always made her tired.*

Starshine snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing his name. He looked at Starhopper and vaguely realised that she was talking with Comet. Of course, Starshine didn't know Comet personally, but he did recognise him by his... well, to be quite honest, it was mostly his appearance that Starshine recognised him by. Smiling in passing to Comet, he looked at Starhopper.
"Yes... Dream Castle still welcomes visitors, even if times have grown darker," he said, though he wasn't sure who he directed his words to. Perhaps he was just trying to convince himself. He continued to walk forward, trusting that Starhopper would keep up - and that Comet would likely follow. "I suspect you and Comet might have something in common... he's coming from another world as well." He was secretly hoping to direct Starhopper's attention to Comet so that she might want to spend time with Comet after he had shown her to his room. Starshine had a lot of business to attend to.
[[here's to hoping you don't mind Starshine knows about Comet being from another world and such, Becka... I thought it would make sense, with how involved Starshine is. I'd suspect he's made it his business to know as many DreamValleyans by name and history as he could, all in the interest of protecting the throne.]]

Comet did indeed follow along behind, curious to hear the mare's story about her other world. Plus, Comet loved new friends.
"Ooooh, yes. We can swap stories. I can tell you all about over the Rainbow, and you can tell me all about... wherever it is you come from. You didn't fly over the Rainbow did you?" If she had, then maybe Comet would have to go back and take a look, because the last time he was over the Rainbow (how long ago had that been? Twenty years at least!) all the horses were brown and boring like him.

*she shook her head*
"oh, no, i don't fly anywhere. i wink there. winking for me is hard to control. i can't wink anywhere nearby, it's always different worlds completely. i don't know why or how, but it took a long time for me to make my way back. i'm not going to try winking again for a while yet."
*she chuckled a bit. she wasn't sure how the ponies here would take her. she also hoped the treatment she recieved from the mysticarans didn't rub off on her. most of them were nice, but those few who wasn't... well, she won't think of that.*
"i'd be happy to tell you of mysticara. it's a strange place. much stranger than even over the rainbow."

"Oh wow, yeah, I'd love to hear about it. And my dad, Canto, maybe he can teach you how to wink properly - he winks all the time. Usually to catch a stack of books I've just knocked over. I'm a little big for the house, you see, and he's a historian and has all these books lying around everywhere. It's a mess, but its home, ya'know?"
He looked at her expectantly and smiled. He loved meeting new ponies.

"i'll be happy to meet him sometime."
*she smiled at comet, he seemed clumsy, but such a nice pony. she looked up at starshine, he seemed quiet. this almost empty castle wasn't right. maybe she could do something to help. she would say something to him when comet wasn't around. no offese to comet, she just wasn't sure on the protocol of things.*
