Myst followed Daisy May and Flame into the Cafe. Despite her efforts to prevent what was soon to take place, Flame would probably have ingested at least one large serving of Cloud Soda after five minutes or so and be more hyperactive than usual the rest of the week. She wasn't so sure she wanted Flame indoors while he drank his soda... after all, he might start blowing straw wrappers (or worse...) at people or something. Perhaps they would be better off outside. "Should we order them to go?" she asked Daisy May.

Daisy May stopped for a moment and pondered. Take out was quick and easy, but, since she was new to Ponyville, she had never really been inside the cafe before.
"Take out is fine," Daisy May replied, although she was slightly disappointed that she would not get to go inside, but she did not want to kill her chances of becoming friends with these two. Pehaps another day she could come back and try their coffee.

"Alright," Myst went in to order the sodas. "Two..." she hesitated at the counter. "No, make it three cloud sodas, I suppose." May as well. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. She took the sodas outside and handed one each to Daisy May and Flame. She sipped hers and got a pleasant, fizzy, floating feeling. Nope. They haven't changed the recipe. Uh-oh, she thought as she watched Flame gulp down about half his glass at once. His eyes went round with sugar and other ingredients Myst had once thought only she knew the energizing properties of. A grin seemed to spread impossibly wide across his face. He took a deep breath. "Don't you dare, Flame," she said. "MISS SUSIE HAD A STEAMBOAT, THE STEAMBOAT HAD A BELL! MISS SUSIE WENT TO HEAVEN, THE STEAMBOAT WENT TO HEEEELL... O OPERATOR, GIVE ME NUMBER NINE..." he sang loudly, not heeding (and possibly not even hearing) a word Myst said. Myst sighed.

Daisy May could not help but giggle at Flame's silly limerick. She hardly cared that Flame's loud singing would probably draw some attention. Well, at least it works, she thought. She sipped her drink. Her sapphire eyes widened. Not bad...for a drink that was completely unrelated to coffee.
"Wow! This stuff's awesome!" the Pegasus grinned at her two companions. "It's as good as coffee....almost. But still pretty dang good."
After a few more gulps of the liquefied energy, Daisy May let out a belch that probably could have broken the sound barrier and possibly a few ear drums as well.
She smiled triumphantly, "Heh heh, I give it a 9.5. It was good enough to register on the Richter Scale! Ha ha ha!"

Despite her slight shame at being somewhat responsible for the hyperactivity that was the result of her cloud soda, Myst still felt a little flattered that Daisy May liked it. She sipped hers again. Then she heard a colossal belch. She chuckled a little. Flame's eyes widened again. He actually stopped singing. "WHOA! That was AWESOME! Can you teach me how to do that? Please?" Flame started hopping around Daisy May, begging her to teach him how to belch loudly. "Please? Please?" "Flame, quit bugging her..." Myst said, even though she knew it would do no good.

The Pegasus was quite flattered at Flame's amazement. She grinned widely, "Of course, li'l man, I can show you how I do it. 'Tis easy once you get the hang of it.
"First, one must swallow as much air as he can. The more air ya' swallow, the longer and louder you'll be. Then, let her rip! Allow me to demonstrate."
With that said, Daisy May inhaled deeply and...and...and...
Once more she shattered the now recovering sound barrier. Some may say that the ground actually shook. Again she beamed with pride of her "achievement."

"Awesome!" Flame gulped down another large sip of soda, then took a really deep breath. The result was very loud, though not quite earth-shattering. Enough to turn a few heads, though, Myst thought, trying not to laugh.

"Good job!" Daisy May told her student, "Keep practicing and you could be arrested for 'disturbing the peace' one day like me!"
Suddenly, a thought came to her. She hoped Flame would not bother Myst with his consist belching.
Softly she whispered to Myst, "What are the consequences of what I've just done? I'm sorry if he begins to annoy you."

"Whoa! You can get arrested?" Flame wondered. He muttered something under his breath that sounded like a distinctly positive reaction. "Cool", perhaps. "Nah, he's already got a horrifyingly large repertoire of annoying behaviors. One more won't make much difference," Myst whispered back, to reassure both herself and Daisy May. "Hey! What are we whispering about?" Flame said in a stage-whisper. "Nothing," Myst said. "Nothing, tra la la?" Flame said in an irritatingly inquiring tone. "Absolutely nothing," Myst said, noting that Flame must have been reading her books again. ((The reference is from Labyrinth if you're wondering.)) But of course, Flame wasn't listening. Oh, no. He was singing. "Tra la la! Tra LA? Tra la LA! La tra!? LAAAAAAAAAA!" he hit a particularly high note. Myst groaned inwardly. Then she noticed he was trying to find a way onto what Myst assumed to be a private balcony on the upper floor of the cafe. Oh no. "Flame..." she said in a warning tone. "Tra LAAAAAAAAAA!" Flame responded, hitting an even higher note and obviously not listening to a word Myst said. She rolled her eyes.

Daisy May was comforted by Myst's words. She would have been wracked with guilt for at least seventeen minutes if she knew she were the cause of Myst's annoyance. Her thoughts soon turned to Flame's singing. The Pegasus tried not to squint as he reached for the high notes.
"What the Hasbro is he doing?" Daisy May asked his sister. She watched curiously as he climbed the cafe, at least, that's what she believed he was doing.
"Yo, Tarzan! What don't you come back down here and have more soda?" yelled Daisy May.

((Um... Flame isn't Myst's brother. His parents sent him with Myst when they heard she was going to Ponyville because they needed a break from his awful behavior...)) "Soda! Yay!" Flame jumped off the awning over one of the windows and, landing on his feet perfectly unharmed, gulped down the rest of his soda. His eyes grew even rounder than they had before, shrank a little bit, and then generally stayed that way. He belched loudly (though still not as loud as Daisy May) and started giggling hysterically. "Myst, can I have 'nother soda...?" he said between giggles. "No, you may not," Myst said. "Please...?" he tried puppy eyes. "No," Myst said, looking just above Flame's head to avoid the full effect of the puppy eyes.

((Oh, sorry about that. I could have sworn he was her brother by the way they interacted. My bad.))
"It's probably best that you don't have another," said Daisy May. "Your body isn't as used to this amount of caffeine," she continued as she took another gulp of her soda, "Unlike mine, of course."
Daisy May began drinking again, finishing the drink with loud straw sounds. Feeling the caffeine course through her veins, she belched once more and smiled triumphantly, "Mission Accomplished."

Actually, there wasn't much caffeine in there... but hey, works for me, Myst thought. She smiled. "Yeah, what Daisy May said," she took another sip of her soda. Looking over the rim of her glass, she saw Flame still staring at her, his eyes freakishly, abnormally large. "Yeeeeeeeeee- ah... ah..." Myst sneezed in the middle of a small scream and blew a massive amount of green snot into her soda. "Oh, ew..." She stared at it miserably and dropped it into a nearby trashbin. Flame, his eyes back to normal, was rolling around on the ground laughing hysterically. Myst sniffed miserably. "Gread. Id's bag."

"Whoa! Bless you!" Daisy May said with a slight bit of amazement. "What a sneeze!
"I can buy you another drink," she continued, feeling quite sympathetic towards Myst. "That is, if you'd like."

Daisy May stood starring at Myst for a few seconds and blinked. She was trying to translate what the unicorn said with no luck.
"Oh! A napkin!" she exclaimed, "Of course I can get you one. I'll be back in a jiffy."
The Pegasus fluttered into the Cafe and snatched what she had dubbed "Myst's Snot Rag" and pranced out.
Handing the napkin to Myst, she asked, "That sounds like a pretty nasty cold you've got. Have you seen a doctor at all?"

Myst blew her nose. Ah, that's better. I think I can talk normal now... "Thank you. No, so far I've just been really stuffed up, I don't think it's bad enough that I have to see a doctor," Myst said.

"Oh, well then," said Daisy May as she laughed a bit nervously. "Have you had it long?"

"Not too long... probably a week or so," Myst said. Come to think of it, I've had it almost as long as I've been at Ponyville... where could I have caught it...? Maybe it was that hotel we stayed at the first night...

"You know what my mother had me do when I was sick?" said Daisy May, "Well...probably not since you've never met her..."
She shook her head then continued, "Anyway, she would make me stand on my head and drink a whole bowl of tomato soup. All of that blood rushing to my head and warm soup in my belly always made me feel much better!"
She flashed a quick smile at Myst, "Wanna' try it? I bet the Cotton Candy Cafe has tomato soup. What harm could it do?"
