Swift, swift went the wings of a white Pegasus as she effortlessly glided through the sky. What a lovely afternoon, thought Daisy May as she gracefully landed in Pony Park. Clear skies, gentle breeze, birds singing--it truly was a perfect spring day. Looking for the right place to start her sketching, Daisy May decided to treat Pony Park to a song. Her sweet voice danced on a breeze as if to give thanks to the One up above for the glorious day. As she leisurely walked along the cobblestone path enjoying the scent of spring blooms, she continued to fill Pony Park with her honey-sweet voice:
"...There was a melody Locked deep inside of me But now it's free It found a place embraced By harmony, sweet harmony
"Love more than anything Teaches our hearts to sing Only love could break the spell Now I know very well The love within myself..."

Daisy May soon stopped singing. Pulling out her cup of coffee that she had gotten at the Cotton Candy Cafe, she casually glanced around. It was quiet at the park today. Too quiet? Maybe. She guessed most of the ponies must be at home. She had seen many sick ponies lately, after all.
While she was taking a refreshing sip of the steaming coffee, she tripped over something. The cup of hot liquid went flying through the air. Daisy May let out a blood-curdling scream as she watched the scene.
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! My baby!" she cried in desperation. She ran over to the spilled drink. Shaking her head in disbelief, she muttered, "No, no, no. This can't be happening. My poor baby. It'll be all right. Mummy's here. Don't cry."
She bent over and began to lick the puddle of coffee. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She didn't even mind the taste of dirt in this terrible hour.
She sniffed, "It wasn't supposed to end this way, my love."

Myst and Flame, having taken a detour through Ponyville Park on their way home to the outer edges, had stopped a moment to listen to Daisy May from a distance. Her singing was truely beautiful. Well, until she started shrieking about her coffee. Myst cautiously walked up to her. "Um... hi, are... are you alri-" Myst was interrupted. I'm sure I don't need to say by whom. "Hey! Do you like beverages that leave you buzzing uncontrollably?" Flame said. Not waiting for Daisy May to reply, "Good! 'Cause then you should try..." No no no no noooo... Myst thought apprehensively, unable to stop Flame. "Myst's Cloud Soda! Available at the Cotton Candy Cafe!" Flame grinned. Noooooooo! Why, oh why... "Uh, um... I'm really sorry about him, he's Flame and I'm Myst... oh, and I wouldn't suggest Cloud Soda. Awful stuff..." Myst said awkwardly. If Cloud Soda became a trend, then she would never live it down...

Daisy May was quite surprised to see the 2 other ponies. Although she was in deep pain, she was grateful for the younger to get her mind of her beloved in such a time of great sorrow. Indeed, the talk of a beverage that could give her such a buzz caught her attention immediately.
"A-a-uncontrollable buzz," she said, still choking back a few tears, "Is there a greater buzz than coffee? Perish the thought, coffee is my only love now. But yet I do want to know what is Myst's Cloud Soda. Is it legal?"

Oh, no... Myst though. "Well, yeah, I guess it's legal..." Unfotunately... "Yeah! It's reeeeeaaally awesome!" Flame said, bouncing as if he'd already had some. "And it's non-alcoholic!" Myst sighed. Geez. And he's not even being paid to advertise for the Cotton Candy Cafe!

Seeing the boy bouncing around conforted the Pegasus. Obviously, it works and is not alcohol, she thought. She got up and dusted herself off.
Smiling, she introduced herself, "My name is Daisy May. Pleased to meet you," she then looked at Myst, "Now may I try some of your strange brew? That stuff sure does look as if it works."

"He hasn't had any. That's just how he usually is," Myst said, cringing inwardly. "Anyway, it's something I made up as a prank in Dream Valley. Apparently, somebody found out about it and decided to sell it at the Cotton Candy Cafe. Since I never had any idea that it was even being sold until I saw it at the Cafe, they may have changed the recipe, but we could go there with you if you want to try it." Maybe they DID change the recipe... Myst thought hopefully. That would be kind of a let-down for Daisy May, though... geez. What a predicament.

"...The Cotton Candy Cafe, you say..." Daisy May said thoughtfully. She chose to completely ignore what Myst had said about a recipe change, though she did consider it for a second or two. Her mind was made up: she was going to try the this strange brew even if she died trying! Of course, she didn't think anything eventful would happen along the way to the resturant, unless a group of highly trained ninjas attacked...
She leaped a few feet forward and announced heroically, "To the Cotton Candy Cafe!" She ran a few feet more then turned around, "Come, young ones, we shall get jazzed java at the said cafe!"

"Yahoo!" Flame jumped triumphantly and happily into the air and followed Daisy May, while Myst sighed, knowing that there was no point in trying to talk them out of it now. She sneezed violently, luckily not sneezing on anyone. Oh, great, it's back... I really hate colds. She sniffed loudly in an attempt to inhale any mucus she may have had on her nose back into the recesses of her nostrils where it belonged and trotted after Flame and Daisy May. ((I'll make a thread to continue this in the Cotton Candy Cafe.))
