Name: Roux {Pronounced: Rue}
Age: 23
Type: Earthling (from the first generation)
Gender: Male
Body Color: Light, somewhat soft, brown
Eye Color: Dark brown
Hair Color: Dark brown, to the point of almost being black, with streaks of white
Symbol: A pair of white chocolate kisses, one almost on top of the other. (As in a Hershey Kiss)
Power(s): Expert swordsman, very basic healing powers, ability to tame any wild animal, and the power to tempt any creature’s sweet tooth.
Temperament: Even tempered, flirty, sweet natured, adventurous, and out going.
History: Born a gypsy, and will most likely die a gypsy. Has never lived in one place for very long. Constantly on the go. Doesn’t believe in over staying his welcome. His parents both passed away some years ago due to some illness he never was able to identify.
Extras: Irish accent, but does not claim to be Irish. Has two silver hoop earrings in his right ear. Lives on his boat, and goes wherever the water takes him. Presently he has decided to dock in Ponyville. He is quite fond of hot chocolate, and enjoys making delightfully sinful chocolate treats. Hopes to open a small chocolate shop, if he is able to find a small store for rent. If he is able to find a small shop for rent he may settle down for the first time in his life. Than again his wandering spirit may pull him in another direction. For he goes wherever the wind blows him.
Note: The gypsy still comes and goes. He is not permanent nor is he exactly a temp. I really have no idea what he is. Am also planning on updating his bio later. About time I'm sure.

Unable to do anything but huddle against the trunk of the tree, Charm watched in horror. Though the earthling did manage to kill the wolf, she had received far too many injuries to her chest and legs to survive. With great difficulty she carried her foal to the nearest town, Ponyville. Upon saying her child's name, the mare collapsed dead. Alone and terrified, Charm was left to whoever would claim her. Birthplace (or place of the majority of residence): born near Dream Valley

History: Born of an ancient Indian tribe, in a remote village (that no outsider has ever traveled to) in the Snowy Mountains, Harper was a surprise even to her parents. A child of the snow who lives for the sea. How a pair of snow ponies had had such an unusual child, no one in the village could say. As far back as they went in her family tree, there was not so much as a glimpse of a sea fairing pony in her roots. Yet there she was a snow pony who loved the sea more than her snowy home.
A people cut off from the rest of the world, they realized early on that to survive they would have to know more about those they shared this world with. So one brave soul made his way to the outside to learn from them. Learn he did for many years and than he returned to share his knowledge. A new language, one that all the world spoke, save for this small tribe. Learn it they did. Understand it completely, they did not. To continue their learning each year when a child turned fifteen they were allowed to live their homeland to explore on their own and to learn more about the others outside their village. All returned within one year’s time. That is the way it always had been, until Harper.
When her fifteenth birthday came, Harper could not leave fast enough. So many questions. So many things to see. She wanted to see it all, to do everything. With nothing but the band around her leg, the dagger hidden behind it and a small knapsack filled with enough food to sustain her for a week she set out.
Three days into her journey the smell of blood stung her nostrils. Something had died. What she could not tell. Taking the dagger out she walked cautiously along; ears swiveling back and forth ever listening in case whatever had killed was still about. Instead of a bear’s roar, she heard a soft whimper. Something was crying out for help. Her pace quickened. In the midst of a small clearing she found blood-stained snow. A wolf. A large female wolf. Head bent down Harper said a pray for the animal’s soul, wishing it a safe journey as it crossed into the next world. Eyes opening once again she pushed some clean snow over the lifeless body. Paw prints in the snow told the tale. A bear had stumbled upon a wolf with some fresh kill of its own. A struggle and than a fight. Instead of leaving the bear to have her supper, the wolf had attacked. But why? Than came the whimper again. Head spinning about she saw a pair of brown eyes just inside a hollow log. A child. Bending down Harper clicked her tongue and spoke in her people’s ancient dialect. Unmoving the wolf stayed where it was. Opening her knapsack Harper took a dried piece of fish from her bag. Placing it at the mouth of the tree, she backed up a few steps to show she meant no harm. If she had blinked just than she would have missed seeing the fish disappear down the snowy throat. Licking lips the wolf came out as Harper placed another piece of fish in front of her and than backed up a couple more steps. The wolf’s white coat glistened in the sunlight. This piece too quickly disappeared. Holding another piece in her hand, Harper spoke comfortingly to the child. Hesitantly the wolf ventured closer. Eyes watching the girl as she took one tentative step after another. Muzzle reaching out she quickly grabbed the fish and devoured it. For two days Harper remained with the pup, feeding her and keeping up a constant stream of chatter. On the third day she rose, placed a fish on the ground for the wolf and began to make her way from the clearing. Watching as she turned to leave the wolf picked up the fish and quickly lopped after her whimpering as she went. Stopping Harper smiled, she had a friend for this journey of hers.
Like the pirates she enjoyed reading about so much, Harper took to ‘looting’ to get by. Or rather what she considered to be looting. Trash can raids and garbage dump pickings had become almost second nature to her. Books with broken spines or water damage, blankets with small tears in them, fuzzy rugs that had chew marks or stains. It amazed her how much the well to do ponies threw out. Collecting what she could, she would take her ‘treasures’ back to her home. Be it under the stairs or in a cave. Unable to take everything with her that she wanted, she would pick and choose, leaving a few ‘treasures’ behind in some less fortunate pony’s yard.
Washing in rivers and streams, eating what she could find or hunt, she continued to explore this great world that her people refused to join. A year quickly passed and soon another. But still she did not return. There was far too much to see, even more to learn and she wasn’t willing to stop when she had barely begun.
Harper’s greatest dream is to one day have a ship of her own so she too can sail the waters and be a fearsome pirate. Though her wolf may not be a parrot or a monkey, she has a feeling that Snow will make just as good a mascot as any, if not even better.
Birthplace: Mammoth Cave (a very small, very remote village in the Snowy Mountains)
